Thembi 15.4.2000 - 1.2.2010

Last night, Thembi’s heart stopped beating, and we were at her side when she passed away. Thembi was an invincible hunter in heart and soul, a wonderful companion, and a fantastic mother to our As, Bs, and Cs. She was a lady who introduced us to the great world of dogs and our window to the mysterious world of a dog’s soul. Wherever she went, she was able to garner respect; wherever she went, her presence was felt. She showed us why a dog should be allowed to be a dog. Even though she accomplished many things and won countless awards in her lifetime, to us she is the winner of the Best in Show, the show being life.
Although it was not so long ago that we picked her up at the airport in Prague, this period is one dog’s life – her life. She gave us her whole life, and we a part of ours. It was an honour for us to have had the chance to share our lives together.
